this hotel was a ramada and has recently been renovated. We spent 3 nights here and would highly recommend it regarding location and cleanliness. It's on a street parallel to main street, the Damrak. It's within walking distance of everything you need to see/do. We asked for an upgrade to a deluxe double room as the standard rooms are all smoking and were surprised to find the 'deluxe' were small but modern and clean. Just don't expect big bedrooms! Our breakfast was included in the price but you could easily go bed only as plenty of cafes/eateries all around.

Me and my girlie friends went to Amsterdam for the weekend in Feb 2008, during out stay the hotel was having renovation work so this cause early morning disturbance which wasnt ideal after a night out. Also when we initially booked the hotel it was under the name the Ramarda, the hotel agent didnt think to tell us that it changed to the Tulip Inn and we were searching for our hotel for ages. Despite these one off problems the overall hotel is very good.

Found the pictures on the website of the hotel lobby gave a really accurate reflection of the hotel lobby but it was clear the bedrooms were decorated in a much earlier era. It was very clean, no complaints there and the breakfast was substantial. The hotel was in a really good central location, very near the train station on arrival. I travelled with a companion in a wheelchair. There were no disabled facilities in the hotel but we managed because she had limited mobility.
Top Tip
This pretty much reflected everywhere in Amsterdam - a fantastic city as long as you're not disabled.
