Hotel is well located for most amenities - Anna Frank Museum only a few minutes walk away. Breakfast excellent. Plenty of good restaurants nearby to suit all pockets and tastes. Water Bus system very useful for getting around too - near Anne Frank Museum.

Top Tip
Taxi costs from Central Station a rip off [15 Euros] - charging what they want - return journey from hotel cost [7 Euros]. Anna Frank Museum also open on an evening.... much quieter.. than during the day.

Staff very welcoming & helpful, rooms clean & tidy (though furnishings a bit "tired"), good choice at breakfast buffet. Great location, altogether a very pleasant stay.

Top Tip
Found an excellent Bistro called "Bij ons" at Prinsengracht 287, 1016 GW Amsterdam, easy walk from hotel. A small, friendly, Dutch restaurant where the food is very, very good!

Staff really friendly and helpful. Location next to picturesque dam square and 10 min walk to red light.

Top Tip
Irish Bar O'rielys was 2 mins away with Sky sports good ale and great staff.

very surprised going by past reviews. clean, friendly and helpful staff, close to all attractions. hotel bar could better but happy enough with the hotel.

pleasant cafe nearby cafe de barones torrensteeg 2. Excelent Italian restaurant on other side of canal. MIND THE CYCLES!!!

I requested early check-in when booking.Room was not available until 2.30pm. I also requested a non-smoking room, the room was non-smoking, however there was a constant smell of alcohol and tobacco on the corridor. The booking included breakfast, the receptionist insisted it was room only. She was very rude and did not offer any apology when I drew her attention to the booking voucher. I was charged €7 city tax on checking out. She also wanted to charge for breakfast again on checking out. The voucher clearly stated Board - Bed and Breakfast and guests should not be billed except for extras. I understood breakfast and city tax were included in my booking? All other staff were friendly and helpful.This hotel was recommended to me. I must say I was rather disappointed!

There was no mention of City Tax and there was a 50 Euro deposit required on check in.
