The Sofitel Hotel is housed in several, inter-linked merchant houses. Elegantly decorated in green tones, the lobby features a pale wood reception desk, a tiled floor, glass tables and mirrored ceilings. The 182 medium sized guestrooms are luxuriously appointed, with beautiful patterned carpets, dark wood furniture and pale green and yellow soft furnishings. All are in excellent condition, as are the en suite bathrooms. The hotel offers a rich Continental buffet every morning in the bright, welcoming breakfast room, which is located on the ground floor and features the same elegant décor as the lobby. In the Duke of Windsor, a combined bar and brasserie, styled in tribute to the dining car of the Orient Express, drinks, lunch and dinner are served daily.
