Jolly Carlton Hotel
The hotel is located in a prime position in Amsterdam, overlooking the flower market. It is just five minutes from the railway station and within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions, as well as the main shopping district and the Rembrandtsplein.

Jolly Carlton Hotel
Part of the Italian-based, Jolly chain of hotels, the Jolly Carlton is housed in an imposing traditional red brick building, which has been fully restored to its former glory. The spacious lobby and public areas are attractively appointed in Italian marble, with an atrium above. The 218 guestrooms vary in size from small to medium due to the age of the building. All are decorated in the same pleasant modern style with shades of blue and light wooden furniture. They are clean and well maintained, as are the white tiled bathrooms. The hotel’s "Café Il Girasol" overlooks Amsterdam’s flower market and offers a modest à la carte menu. There is also an excellent Italian restaurant on the first floor, called "Caruso", which is rather grand and authentically decorated.

I thought it was overpriced. The bar/lounge area lacked any atmosphere. staff were polite but not very friendly.poor choices for breakfasts and snacks at bar.
Top Tip
Plenty of museums. visit to the flea market a must. Dont miss the argentinian restaurants the food is excellent. The St James Gate pub has excellent sandwiches and bar food.
