De Roode Leeuw hotel
The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam on the Damrak, the street which links the Central Railway Station to the world famous Dam Square. It is also within walking distance of Kalverstraat and most major tourist attractions.

De Roode Leeuw hotel
Its roots dating back to the 15th century, the Amsterdam Hotel opened in 1911, is one of the few privately owned properties in the city. The lobby offers a soothing, welcoming atmosphere thanks to white tiles, cream décor and spot lighting. However the lobby feels smaller than it actually is, since the majority of the ground floor space is taken up by the café, which boasts oldest covered and heated terrace in Amsterdam. The 79 guestrooms vary in size from small to medium, due to the age of the building. They are elegantly appointed, featuring thick carpets and ample wardrobe space, and offer an extensive array of modern amenities. Located on the ground floor, the hotel’s a-la-carte "De Roode-Leeuw" restaurant overlooks the busy street where one can watch the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. It is celebrated for specialising in Dutch regional dishes.

Located on the fringe of Dam Square, ideal for site-seeing and restuarants. Heineken is worth a visit.
Top Tip
Make sure you have some Euro's in coins for buying your train ticket at the pay machines in the airport and Central Station, as the ticket office charges 50c extra per ticket.
